This tool calculates the equity of a certain range of hands against each other. You enter some specific starting hands or some ranges of starting hands for up to 10 players. Optionally, some board cards can be given to simualte a flop or turn situation. After clicking the evaluate button, you get the equity of each hand for the given situation.

Why should you enter a range of hands? Poker is a game of incomplete information: you know exactly what you are holding, but you can only guess what hands your oppenents have or can have. With pokerstove, you can fill in the range of hands you put your opponents on and see what equity your hand has against that range.

You must know that this is not a tool that is often used while playing poker, but it is very powerfull for analysing situations after a poker session. We recommend to everyone that takes poker serious, to download this tool and play around with it. By entering certain starting hands, you can easily simulate some poker situations and get to know how strong a hand is against the range of a specific opponent. As you can see, it has a simple and easy to use interface and covers all equity calculations you will ever need while playing texas holdem. You can also use this tool to determin what range someone can have when you know his vpip or preflop raise percentage. For example, you play against a certain player that has been 4betting you a lot. You know he is 4betting you about 10% of the time he can do this. With what hands is he 4betting you? With pokerstove, you can drag a slider to change the percentage you want. The top cards for that percentage will be given in an overview. A screenshot of this situation is given below. As you can see, your opponent is 4betting you with a wide range and you can adjust your play.
