Purpose: Dataming

The Ongame Hand Grabber from Idleminer is a datamining tool. It helps you to save your own hand histories as well as store other hands in which you did not participe. That is what it is mainly used for: get more information on your opponents without having to sit at the tables.

To start dataming with this tool, all you have to do is open the handgrabber and select your ongame skin. If the client of the ongame skin is installed on your computer, you can click the launch site button, and the ongame pokerclient will open. After starting the pokerclient, all tables that are opened are datamined. This means that you have hand histories of those tables without having to sit at the table.

The format of the datamined hands are plain text files. You can configure the folder where these hand history text files must be stored. This way, you can manually review the hand histories, but that is not what it is used for. The main reason to datamine is to import the hands into your poker tracking software. Both Holdem Manager and Pokertracker 3 can import the hand histories of this ongame handgrabber.

The tool has a very simple user interface, which is good for first time use. But this also has a small downside: It has no table opener. There are poker dataming tools that have a table opener to automatically open and close tables, but they are not compatible with the ongame network. Without this feature, you have to open and close all tables yourself. Luckily, tables are kept open as long as they are running. It still is the only tool that works on the ongame network, and therefor the best.

We recommend to use this tool if you are either new to the ongame network or you are still climbing to higher stakes. Before you move on to your next level, you can gather a lot of information on the players on that level. Very usefull if you can use it this way.
