Holdem manager configuration for p5 ongame poker software

1 - Find your hand history folder

The p5 poker software stores the hand histories in a folder of your user profile. For windows vista for example, this folder can be found at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\P5\, where USERNAME is the name of your user profile. In that directory, there is a subdirectory for each ongame skin you play on. In those skin-subfolders, there is an other subfolder handhistory where, indeed, the hand histories are stored. For example, the red kings hand histories can be found at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\P5\RedKings\handhistory.

To find the folder on your windows operating system, you should make sure that hidden folders are shown. To view your invisible files and folders, you have to mark the checkbox view hidden files and folders that can be found in the view tab of the configuration panel of the mapoptions.
For windows xp, this can be done by performing the following steps:
  • On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
  • Click the View tab.
  • Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
For Windows Vista, this is done by performing these steps:
  • Open Folder Options by clicking the Windows-start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
  • Click the View tab.
  • Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.

2 - Get Holdem manager version 1.09

The new p5 software is supported from Holdem Manager version 1.09 and higher. If you have a previous version, you should upgrade to a newer version. At the time of writing this article, holdem manager version 1.09 was still in beta. You can download the beta upgrade executable here. If this direct link is not working, you should look up the latest release at the holdem manager beta release forum.

3 - Configure hand history folder as auto import folder

When you have version 1.09 or higher, you can now add the hand history folder of your p5 ongame skin to the auto import folders. This can be configured in holdem manager: go to the import tab, click on the link click here to add auto import folders-link, click the add folder button. In the folder name field, fill in the location of the hand histories you found in the first step.

4 - Hud setup

Once the import folder has been configured and the hands are imported into holdem manager, you can setup the hud. Configuring the hud is easy: Open the table finder, select a table and drag the red cross to that table. You will be promted to confirm that you want to autodetect the tables from that game client. After confirmation, all tables that are open will show up in the hud.

For betsafe, you will have to perform an addition hud configuration step to autodetect the betsafe tables.
