Holdem manager configuration for Betsafe

We have noticed that most people have trouble with setting up holdem manager for betsafe. The problem that most people run into is that the hud is not working properly for betsafe: The hud does not automatically detect new betsafe tables.

When you run holdem manager with betsafe, you will notice that after setting up the import folder, all hands will be imported into HEM. Everything looks fine, untill you look at the hud. You will see that no tables are showing up. You will be able to open the table finder and add the tables one by one with the red cross. Normally, you will have to drag this red cross to one table of a new ongame poker client, a popup will show up and after confirmation, all other tables will show up in the hud. For betsafe, the auto-detection of new tables is not working properly. But you can fix it.

The problem with the hud is simply explained because there is a poker room on the prima network with the same client name. Holdem manager has a configuration file where it stores the poker clients that the hud has to inspect in orde to auto detect new tables. You will have to manually change something to this configuration file.

In order to be able to detect the tables automatically, you need to follow these steps:
  • Close down Holdem Manager and the Table Manager.
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder and open the ExeNames.txt file with Notepad.
  • Scroll until you see the following line: 8,Poker.exe. This is the poker client on the prima network
  • Replace this line by changing the 8 to a 10 until it looks like this: 10,Poker.exe. The 10 stands for the ongame network.
  • Scroll to the bottom and if there is another 10,Poker.exe line then delete this line.
  • Click on File > Save.
  • Restart Holdem Manager and it should now pick up the tables automatically.
