Ongame Network Valueback, CashBack and VIP programs

Valueback, cashback and VIP programs

The difference between valueback, cashback and VIP programs

Valueback, cashback and VIP programs are actually all the same. Some ongame poker rooms refer to their program where you receive a refund based on the rake and player points, as their valueback program. Other ongame skins call it their cashback program and some run a VIP program for this, but they are actually all similar. Some rooms offer better programs than others, but this is independant of how they refer to it.

Rakeback vs. valueback

There is one big difference between rakeback and the valueback programs.

If you get a rakeback deal on a poker room, you will receive a fixed percentage of your contributed rake.

In the valueback programs, this percentage is not fixed and varies according to your amount of play.

Ongame Valueback Percentages

Ongame has set out some rules that each poker room must follow for their valueback system. The rules determine how much valueback a player can receive. The maximum allowed percentage is based on the amount of player points a player earns, either montly or yearly.

Their are two types of valueback levels: the monthly levels and the yearly levels.

Monthly Valueback levels

In the monthly levels, the valueback lies between 8% and 20%. When you start at a new ongame poker room, you will be able to get 8% valueback. The more player points you can collect in one month, the more valueback you will receive. In general, the monthly valueback percentages will go up like the following list, intermediate levels are still allowed:
  • 8% - 0 player points are needed in one month
  • 10% - 500 player points are needed in one month
  • 12% - 1000 player points are needed in one month
  • 16% - 3000 player points are needed in one month
  • 20% - 6000 player points are needed in one month
Yearly Valueback levels

In the yearly levels, you must have collected a certain amount of player points in the past year, or in a shorter period. The mimimum amount that can be set as a goal for a yearly level is 12000 player points, 1000 player points per month. Once you have enough player points for a yearly level, you will be able to get a higher valueback percentage. In general, the yearly levels will go up like the following list, intermediate levels are still allowed:
  • 20% - average of 1000 player points per month
  • 25% - average of 3500 player points per month
  • 30% - average of 6000 player points per month
  • 35% - average of 13000 player points per month
  • 40% - average of 20000 player points per month

Compare Ongame Valueback Programs

Ongame poker rooms that have a valueback system will give you a valueback percentage similar to those mentioned above. The main difference between the programs are the boundaries and thresholds for the valueback levels.

At some rooms, you are rewarded with a yearly level from 12.000 Player Points over the past year. Since you can only go over the 20% valueback threshold with a yearly level, this is a huge advantage. In the valueback programs where you need at least 72.000 Player points during the past year, there is a gap from 20% to 30% you have to bridge.

An other thing to take into account is the possibility to combine the program with a bonus, or any other additional promotion.

We have compared all ongame valueback programs in the table below.
