Please note that this is an estimation: The calculation is based on averages. The effective amount depends on how tight you play and how good you table select. If you play tight and don't table select, you will earn an amount closer to the lower bound. If you play rather loose and table select well, the amount you get will be closer to the upper bound.

What are ongame Player Points?

Player points are the key to clear bonuses at the ongame poker network. You earn them by playing in real money games or in real money tournaments. The key is, the more you play, the more points you get.. easy, isn't it? No!

If you never played at the ongame network, it is very hard to know how many player points you can collect in a certain amount of time. The exact rules of earning player points are shown below. As you can see, for tournaments it's rather easy to predict how many points you will gather. It only depends on the amount of tournaments you play and at what buy in.

For ring games, it's a different story.. the amount of player points you get largely depend on the rake taken from the pots you contributed money in. This means.. the more hands you actually play with, the faster you will earn your points. Another big factor is your table selection. If you play with opponents that are willing to play a lot of hands... the faster you will gather points. We have build a tool that can help you to estimate the amount of Ongame Player Points you can gather in a certain period.

Ongame Poker Points rules for Tournaments

In tournaments, you receive 5 player points per dollar in entry fee (only for real money tournaments of course). The points are awarded when the tournament finishes. Some examples:

  • Playing a $5+$0.50 tournament, will give you 5 x $0.50 = 2.5 PP
  • Playing a $30+$3 tournament, will give you 5 x $3 = 15 PP
  • Playing a $100+$8 tournament, will give you 5 x $8 = 40 PP

Ongame Poker Points rules for Cash Games

In cash games, all players that have invested money into a pot will be awarded an equal number of player points, as long as the pot is raked. Players that do not contribute any money to a pot will not be awarded with player points.

Each player that is eligible for points earns 0.1 player points for every $0.10 that is raked in a pot. This implies that at most 3 player points can be earned per hand, since the maximum rake cap lies at $3.

At Coral, Eurobet and Gala Casinos you only receive 0.07 player points for every $0.10 raked in a cash game pot instead of 0.1 player points. An 8x bonus at those skins are actually only an 11.4x bonus if you play cash games. For tournament play, the amount of player points you receive is the same as on other ongame skins. We advise to only go after the bonuses at those skins if you play tournaments.
